Ambiee ("the App," "we," "us," or "our") is a soundscape and breathing exercise application operated by Sora Forge. This Privacy Policy applies to all users of the App, regardless of location.

Key Points:

• We do not collect or store personal information such as names, email addresses, or account data
• We do not sell your data to third parties
• We collect minimal technical data for app improvement and crash prevention
• The free version displays ads through Google AdMob, which may collect data for personalized advertising
• All user preferences are stored locally on your device

2. Information We Collect

Since Ambiee does not require account creation, we collect very limited information. The data we collect falls into the following categories:

2.1 Automatically Collected Information

We automatically collect certain technical information to ensure the App functions properly and to improve user experience:

2.3 Locally Stored Data

The following information is stored only on your device and is never sent to our servers:

• Your app preferences (haptic settings, countdown duration, end sound choice)
• Favorite sounds and playlists
• Breathing exercise settings
• Premium subscription status (validated through App Store/Google Play)

This data is deleted when you uninstall the App.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the limited data we collect for the following purposes:

4. Third-Party Services

We use trusted third-party services to operate the App. These services may collect and process data on our behalf:

4.1 Firebase Analytics

Provider: Google LLC

Purpose: Understand app usage and user engagement

Data Collected: Device type, OS version, country, app version, screen views, session duration

Purpose: Monitor app stability and fix crashes

Purpose: Display advertisements in the free version of the App

Important: AdMob may use this data to show personalized ads based on your interests. You can opt out of personalized advertising (see Section 7).

4.4 Apple App Store / Google Play Store

Purpose: Process in-app purchases and manage subscriptions

Data Collected: Payment information, purchase history (handled entirely by Apple/Google, not accessible to us)

5. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We want to be completely transparent about data sharing:

5.1 We Do NOT Sell Your Data

Sora Forge does not sell, rent, or trade your information to third parties for monetary gain or any other purpose.

5.2 Sharing with Service Providers

We share limited technical data with the third-party services listed in Section 4 (Firebase, AdMob) solely to operate and improve the App. These providers are contractually obligated to protect your data.

5.3 Legal Requirements

We may disclose information if required by law, such as:

• Complying with a court order, subpoena, or legal process
• Enforcing our Terms of Service
• Protecting the rights, property, or safety of Sora Forge, our users, or the public
• Preventing fraud or security threats

5.4 Business Transfers

If Sora Forge is acquired by or merged with another company, user data may be transferred as part of that transaction. You will be notified of any such change.

6. Data Security

We take data security seriously and implement industry-standard measures to protect your information:

• Encryption: Data transmitted between your device and our servers (via Firebase) is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS
• Minimal Data Collection: We only collect what's necessary, reducing risk
• Local Storage: Sensitive preferences are stored only on your device
• Regular Updates: We keep our App and dependencies updated to patch security vulnerabilities
• Third-Party Security: Our service providers (Google Firebase, AdMob) maintain robust security infrastructure

7. Your Rights and Choices

You have control over your data and privacy. Here are your rights:

7.1 Opt-Out of Personalized Ads

You can disable personalized advertising from Google AdMob:

• iOS: Settings > Privacy > Apple Advertising > Turn off "Personalized Ads"
• Android: Settings > Google > Ads > Opt out of Ads Personalization
• Web: Visit adssettings.google.com to manage ad preferences

Note: Opting out means you'll still see ads, but they won't be based on your interests.

7.2 Opt-Out of Analytics

You can disable Firebase Analytics:

• iOS: Settings > Privacy > Analytics & Improvements > Turn off "Share iPhone Analytics"
• Android: Settings > Google > Usage & Diagnostics > Toggle off

7.3 Disable Crash Reporting

Crash reports help us fix bugs. To disable:

7.4 Delete Local Data

To delete all locally stored preferences:

• Uninstall the App from your device
• All local settings, favorites, and preferences will be permanently deleted

7.5 Remove Ad-Free Experience

Upgrade to Premium to remove ads entirely and stop AdMob data collection.

8. International Data Transfers

Ambiee is available globally, and data may be processed in countries other than your own. By using the App, you consent to the transfer of your information to:

• United States: Where Firebase and AdMob servers are located
• Other regions: Where Google operates data centers for performance optimization

We ensure that all data transfers comply with applicable data protection laws, including GDPR (for EU users) and CCPA (for California users).

9. Data Retention

We retain data only as long as necessary to provide our services and comply with legal obligations:

After these periods, data is automatically deleted or anonymized.

10. Children's Privacy

Ambiee is suitable for all ages, including children. We are committed to protecting children's privacy:

• We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13
• We do not require account creation, so no personal data is submitted by children
• The App does not contain user-generated content or social features where children could interact with strangers
• Parents should supervise children's use of the App, particularly for in-app purchases

For Parents: If you believe your child has provided personal information through the App (which should not be possible), please contact us immediately at soraforgehelpdesk@gmail.com, and we will investigate.

COPPA Compliance

We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). Since we do not collect personal information, no parental consent mechanism is required. However, we recommend parents review this Privacy Policy and supervise app usage.

11. Rights for EU Users (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Union or European Economic Area, you have additional rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):

11.3 EU Representative

You have the right to file a complaint with your local Data Protection Authority if you believe we have violated your privacy rights.

12. Rights for California Users (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):

• Right to Delete: Request deletion of your personal information

12.3 We Do Not Sell Personal Information

Sora Forge has not sold personal information in the past 12 months and does not sell personal information.

12.4 Exercising Your Rights

To exercise your CCPA rights, contact us at soraforgehelpdesk@gmail.com with the subject "CCPA Request." We will respond within 45 days.

13. Audio Content Attribution

Ambiee includes audio content from third-party creators. These sounds are used under licenses that allow free commercial use without requiring attribution, or under Creative Commons licenses. We respect creators' rights by:

• Providing in-app attribution with artist name, website, and track URL
• Ensuring all content is properly licensed
• Respecting the original license terms

14. Do Not Track Signals

Some browsers transmit "Do Not Track" (DNT) signals. Currently, there is no industry standard for responding to DNT signals. Ambiee does not respond to DNT signals, but you can opt out of personalized ads and analytics as described in Section 7.

15. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal requirements. We will notify you of material changes by:

• Updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy
• Posting a notification in the App
• Sending an email if we have your contact information (rare, since we don't collect emails)

Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.

16. Third-Party Links

The App may contain links to third-party websites or services (e.g., artist websites for audio attribution). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing any information.

17. Data Breach Notification

In the unlikely event of a data breach that affects your information, we will:

• Notify affected users within 72 hours (as required by GDPR)
• Provide details about the breach and steps we're taking
• Notify relevant authorities as required by law

Since we collect minimal data, the risk of a significant breach is low.

18. Your Consent

By using Ambiee, you consent to:

• The collection and use of information as described in this Privacy Policy
• The use of cookies and tracking technologies by third-party services (Firebase, AdMob)
• The transfer of data to countries outside your own for processing

You can withdraw consent at any time by stopping use of the App or exercising your opt-out rights (Section 7).
